This entails forecasting sales and managing the purchase plan to optimise stock availability and inventory levels with a close eye on cash flow impact. You’ll also be responsible for gross margin analysis and pricing, ensuring that we reach our profitability targets.

You’re working directly with our Head of Finance while collaborating cross-functionally with our Production Manager to maintain and optimise the production plan as well as our Marketing and Retail teams to ensure that merchandising aligns with sales and inventory forecasts.

  • Enable sustainable growth and profitability through excellent inventory management, ensuring the optimal quantity, in the optimal place, at the optimal time and at the best possible price
  • Keeping stock availability high and inventory levels low, allowing us to scale sales with minimal cash flow impact

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Monthly product sales forecasting, follow-up vs outcome, reporting and analysis
  • Continuous purchase planning and budgeting for all products and materials across all markets and channels (online and our own retail)
  • Monthly inventory analysis and reporting, ownership of stock levels, turnover and sell-through
  • Product profitability (gross margin) analysis and pricing in all markets and currencies including ownership of the bi-annual sales and gross margin budgeting
  • Supporting order placement process, preparing production and material orders
  • Assortment analysis and optimisation, providing input for product development and assortment planning based on product and category performance
  • Analytical support for all things related to product performance, production and inventory

The ideal candidate

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a controller or in a similar role, preferably within fashion or e-commerce
  • Have a degree in business, engineering or similar area
  • Highly efficient, structured and organised with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to communicate findings and translate them into actions
  • Problem-solver and a self-starter who enjoys a high degree of autonomy and responsibility
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Documented experience and a natural flair for working with ERP, BI and forecasting systems
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbally
