We have an excellent opportunity for a Knit and Jersey product Developer to join our International Design team in Stockholm. Teens and Kids is a fast growing Category within GANT and the driving force is to create sustainable and beautiful garments with our heritage of American sportswear in mind - and always strive to exceed our customer's expectations!

This position is a temporary post covering a maternity leave until Sep 31st 2018, but with chance of extension.

As part of the Teens & Kids Team, you will be responsible for the development of all Knits and Jersey products and It’s crucial that you have a strong sense and understanding for fabrics, yarns and high quality as well a passion for sales driven products and a sharp commercial eye.

Responsibilities & Tasks
* The role reports to Product Developer Lead of the Category
* Key daily interactions are with the Category’s: Product Developer Lead, Design lead, Designer, Woven * * Product Developer as well Suppliers and internal Pattern Team
* Develop products in the right qualities, at the right suppliers and to the right price points
* Drive the price negotiation process towards the suppliers and ensure final product is aligned with Category’s Range plan
* Be the strong link between designer and suppliers and make sure that the development process is being followed, communicated and understood by all involved parts
* Ensure that product specifications are communicated to Suppliers and make sure that they have understood and are able to meet the requirements
* Work proactive to source quality assured and commercially viable fabrics, yarns and trims that are in line with the designers brief and Category’s range plan
* Drive, follow and act up on test reports of materials and final samples to ensure a high quality standard across the products
* Work together with the Pattern Team and PD lead to ensure fits and shapes
* Manage and update sizing blocks, charts and grading’s through technical templates and communicate to suppliers
* Contribute to the Category with positive energy, passion and Great Spirit every day!
* The job will include travelling

Prerequisites
* Minimum 5 years of work experience with Knits and Jersey in similar roll, including touch points as Product developing, Price negotiation and Production
* Fluent in written and spoken English, any other language is a plus
* Proficient with Excel, Word, Power point. PLM system experience would be ideal
* Competitor and trend awareness within Knits & Jersey materials
* Able to manage high paced work and keep deadlines while maintaining flexibility
* A humble team player with great communication skills
* Great negotiation skills
* Used to work with cost break down structures and follow Range plans
* Passion for Jersey/Knit fabrications and yarns
* A sharp commercial eye and a drive to always exceed the consumers expectations
