The company currently known as Thermore was founded in 1972 by Lucio Siniscalchi in Milan, Italy.

Intellectual property such as trademarks, patents, inventions whether patentable or not, designs, know-how, trade secrets, business secrets, copyrights are of paramount importance for Thermore, therefore their protection is vital since their violation may lead to extremely high damages and losses for Thermore. Thermore also gives great importance to confidential information. This information may regard: know-how, patents, inventions, whether or not patentable, technologies, trade secrets, business secrets, processes, designs, studies, data, technical drawings, product designs, artistic and scientific data, product specifications, machine or equipment specifications, process flow documents and manufacturing know-how; ideas for research and development; results, records, text, samples, prototypes, photographs, graphic representations and audiovisual works; information that must be kept confidential as a result of obligations to third parties; information about the identity customers and suppliers; information and know-how regarding: mill’s location, factory staff’s contact details, and any information about the mill that can be considered “confidential” or that is marked as “confidential”; each and any information, document, software, drawing, machine, feature, equipment, manufacturing process that can be seen at Thermore premises. Thermore is engaged in asking anyone who gets to know their intangible assets, such as employees, customers and suppliers to handle them with the highest degree of care.
